Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 August 2026

This policy explains how InstantGrant ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use our website and eligibility checker. We process personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

InstantGrant is an independent information service for UK home energy grants. We are not a government body. For any privacy questions, contact us at instantgrantuk@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Eligibility details — postcode, ownership status, property type, EPC rating, benefits, current heating system and improvements you are interested in.
  • Contact details — your name, email address and phone number, if you choose to provide them.
  • Usage data — basic, anonymous information about how the site is used.

How we use your data

  • To match you with grants you may be eligible for.
  • To pass your enquiry to a qualified assessor, who may contact you within hours about your eligibility.
  • To improve the content and accuracy of our guides.

Our legal basis for processing enquiry data is your consent, given when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in operating the service.

Who we share it with

We only share enquiry details with vetted installers or assessors who can help with your grant application. We never sell your data. We use trusted infrastructure providers to store data securely.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to process your grant check, and then deleted unless you ask us to keep in touch.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal data at any time, or withdraw consent, by emailing instantgrantuk@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We keep cookies to the minimum needed for the site to work and to understand anonymous usage. No advertising trackers are used.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
